Minister Suspends the Authority of School Principal Marine Malakhian at School No. 122

The authority of Marine Malakhian, the principal of School No. 122, has been suspended. This was reported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.

“The Minister of Education and Science, Vahram Dumanyan, has signed an order suspending the validity of the certificate granting the right to manage the educational institution of Marine Grishayevna Malakhian, the principal of the State Non-Commercial Organization ‘Yerevan A. Block School No. 122,’ which was issued by the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia on March 27, 2017, Order No. 584-A,” the announcement states.

The basis for the order was an audio recording posted online and a report from the head of the General Education Department of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports.

According to this, based on Clause 2 of Subclause 89 of the procedure approved by the Order No. 395-N of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia dated May 18, 2010, which relates to the organization and conduct of the examination for obtaining the certificate of the right to manage a general education institution, as well as the procedure for suspending the certificate of the right to manage such institutions, the authority of ‘Yerevan A. Block School No. 122’ principal Marine Malakhian has been suspended,” the statement concluded.
