US to Provide Over $45 Million in Additional Aid to Ukraine
The United States will provide over $45 million in additional humanitarian assistance to Ukraine. According to Reuters, this was announced by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
“The United States is providing more than $45 million in additional humanitarian assistance to the people of Ukraine,” the text of the Secretary's statement reads. According to Blinken, the total volume of U.S. humanitarian aid to Kyiv, considering these funds, will reach $351 million since the 2014 fiscal year.
The new humanitarian aid package is intended for “3.4 million people in need in Ukraine,” including internally displaced persons affected by the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
