UAZ Loses Control, Falls into Ravine; One Dead
On September 1, 2021, around 6:00 PM, a 51-year-old resident of Tavush region lost control of his UAZ 469 vehicle while driving on a field access road in the "Kamout Ghash" area, located 5 kilometers northeast of the 25-kilometer section of the Berd-Chambarak highway. The vehicle veered off the road and rolled approximately 300 meters into a ravine, resulting in the driver's immediate death. The passenger sustained bodily injuries and was transported to a medical center.
According to the Investigative Committee of Armenia, a criminal case has been initiated by the Berd investigative unit of the Tavush region's Investigative Committee under Article 242, Part 2 of the RA Criminal Code. Investigations have been conducted at the scene and on the vehicle, with forensic examinations of the body and vehicle assigned. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
