Major Traffic Accident in Gegharkunik: Mercedes Sprinter Overturned, Injuries Reported

Today, on September 2, a major traffic accident occurred in the Gegharkunik region. Around 3:00 PM, a collision took place between a Mercedes Sprinter and an Opel Astra on the 55th kilometer of the Sevan-Martuni-Geghard road.

According to shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, 8 individuals were transported to the Martuni Medical Center with varying degrees of injuries. The doctors at the Martuni hospital acted promptly, providing first aid to the injured on-site before transporting them to the hospital.

The collision resulted in the Mercedes Sprinter overturning, which serves the Vardenis-Yerevan route, while the Opel went off the roadway, partially ending up in a ravine.
