Are Azerbaijanis Setting Fire to the Grasslands Near Lake Sev? Comments from the Syunik Governor

Azerbaijanis have deliberately set fire to the grasslands adjacent to Lake Sev. According to reports from Telegram channels, the fire is moving toward Armenian positions.

Auroranews contacted the Governor of Syunik, Melikset Poghosyan, to verify this information. He stated that he is currently in Kajaran and has not received any such reports.

We are also trying to confirm this information with the Ministry of Defense. It is worth noting that this is not the first time Azerbaijan has taken such actions. On July 19, the Azerbaijani side opened fire in the border area of Yeraskh, located in the Ararat province. A fire erupted in the no-man's-land. Radik Oghikyan, the mayor of Yeraskh, sustained minor gunshot wounds while organizing efforts to extinguish the fire that had broken out due to the actions of the Azerbaijanis.

Azerbaijan employed similar tactics on August 6, deliberately igniting the grass in the no-man's-land. Later, they set fire to approximately 28 hectares near Agarak. At the end of August, they also burned grasslands near four villages in the Gegharkunik province.
