Residents of Vedi Block Road Over Grape Collection Issues

Earlier today, residents from several villages in the administrative area of Vedi blocked the Yerevan-Eraskh highway in protest over grape collection issues, reports shamshyan.com.

Officers from the 2nd Battalion of the 1st Company of the Road Police arrived at the protest site. After listening to the villagers' concerns, they later informed the regional administration about the issue, which promised to look into the matter.

Soon after, the protesters reopened the road but indicated that if the regional administration and the government do not address their concerns, they would block the road again for a longer period.
