Pashinyan Has Entered into a Horrendous Agreement, Says Hayk Mamikjanyan
In an appearance on 168 TV's "Review" program, Hayk Mamikjanyan, a member of the National Assembly from the "With Honor" faction and deputy chairperson of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations, summarized Araarat Mirzoyan's visit to Moscow and the statements made, noting: "The observations made were necessary to be voiced, but they were firstly delayed, and secondly, few. When you create a bad precedent in international relations, for example, by agreeing to the return of captives on the principle of 'all for all' with a disgraceful capitulation statement, without realizing that the enemy will not grant captive status to all our boys, which is exactly what happened when you signed a statement on January 11. To escape from the protesters, you say you are going to discuss the captives’ matter, but then you go and do not discuss it, claiming it is not on the agenda, when the enemy is entering your country's sovereign territory, because you're asleep at the ear of a donkey. When Mher Grigoryan states that the work of the inter-agency working group is suspended until the enemy's troops withdraw from our country, and without the troops withdrawing, the work of that group resumes, when the country is conducting toothless foreign policy, one should not expect anything from such meetings, of course, there are points that are good to have been mentioned, but, I repeat, they were delayed.
On the other hand, the question is why a call for de-occupation was not voiced. After all, Azerbaijan has long spoken about our lands, presenting them as occupied. Now Azerbaijan has occupied our lands, and nothing has been said about this on our part," Mamikjanyan emphasized, adding that not just Araarat Mirzoyan but also any official from the ruling party has not stated even 10 months after the end of the war that Azerbaijan has occupied Armenian territories. Moreover, a Government program has been accepted that does not include a reference to the Republic of Artsakh.
Commenting on Araarat Mirzoyan's statement that there is no negotiation regarding a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and that if such negotiations start at any time, the issue of the Nagorno-Karabakh status must necessarily be on the agenda, Hayk Mamikjanyan replied: "According to my information, such a document exists. I can assume what kind of content they will place in it, because if there is no peace treaty, why are they preparing the public for it, what are Nikol Pashinyan's signals directed towards?
Regarding the absence of the President of Armenia, the Prime Minister, and the Speaker of the National Assembly in Artsakh on September 2, the day of Artsakh's independence, the MP noted, "Why has Nikol Pashinyan not been to Artsakh since the end of the war, who does not allow him to do so? Let him answer these questions. I have the right to assume that he has a paper in front of him stating: 'Do not go to Artsakh, do not speak about the de-occupation of your homeland, do not make a reference to the Republic of Artsakh in the Government program,' and other such points. He has been told: 'You will do this, you will do that,' in exchange for which Pashinyan has entered into a horrendous agreement."
