Video: Fatal Car Accident on the Tsovagyugh-Shorja-Vardenis Highway

On August 29, 2021, at 16:06, a report was received from a citizen regarding an accident occurring near a recreational area. During the preparation of materials, it was found that on the same day, around 15:50, a 47-year-old resident of Yerevan lost control of his 'BMW' vehicle on the Tsovagyugh-Shorja-Vardenis highway, veering off the road and rolling into a concrete barrier on the left side of the road, resulting in his death. The passenger sustained injuries and was transported to 'Jambarak Medical Center' LLC.

A criminal case has been initiated in the Sevan Investigative Division of the Gegharkunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee under the second part of Article 242 of the RA Criminal Code. An examination of the accident site has been conducted, and forensic medical and automotive technical examinations have been appointed. The pre-investigation is ongoing.
