Police Officer Prevents Young Girl's Suicide Attempt in Yerevan
According to SHAMSHYAN.com, on August 30, around 1:30 AM, a young girl attempted to jump from the Victory Bridge.
Photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reports that at that moment, the commander of the 1st platoon of the 1st company of the Patrol Service of the Armenian Police, Harutyun Grigoryan, was passing through the area. Citizens stopped his service vehicle and informed him about the incident.
Grigoryan approached the girl and, through effective psychological dialogue, was able to convince her not to take such drastic action. According to G. Shamshyan, the girl is identified as A. M., a resident of Yerevan, who attempted suicide due to personal issues.
Investigative materials are being prepared at the Central Police Department regarding the incident.
