ISIS Claims Responsibility for Attacks on Kabul Airport
The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the rocket attacks that occurred at Kabul Airport on Monday. According to a statement from the terrorist group reported by RIA Novosti, details about the attack emerged earlier today.
Media outlets reported that U.S. air defense systems intercepted five rockets. One of the projectiles landed within the airport premises.
A powerful explosion rang out at the airport on Thursday, resulting in 170 fatalities and thousands injured. The previous terror attack was also claimed by ISIS, which prompted the U.S. Air Force to conduct airstrikes in Afghanistan aimed at eliminating the group's leadership.
