Areas That Are Not Controlled at All Can See Diversions and Kidnappings: Onik Avagyan
There is no guarantee that the roads will not be closed again. This was stated by Onik Avagyan, the head of the Bardzravan community, in an interview with NEWS.am.
“Even before this incident, there was danger. There are areas that are completely uncontrolled by anyone, and there could even be diversions, people can be kidnapped. In any case, we are dealing with the Turks, not a normal, civilized nation. Right now, there is also no guarantee that the roads will not be closed again, and the alternative road is in very poor condition,” he mentioned during the interview.
Onik Avagyan declined to comment on why Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan referred to the road blocked by Azerbaijani soldiers with Azerbaijani names, Chayzami and Eyvazli, during a government meeting. “Let him explain what he said. I can only say that the area called Chayzami is Armenian—Nor Arajadzor—while Eyvazli was once inhabited by Azerbaijanis; the upper part belonged to the Turks, and the lower part was ours,” he added.
