42-Year-Old Driver Rolls Over in Ford Escape, Dies on Way to Hospital

On August 29, a tragic car accident occurred in the Armavir region. At around 22:30, Knyaz Shamayanyan, a 42-year-old resident of the village of Arevadasht in the Armavir region, lost control of his Ford Escape vehicle on the 3rd km of the Sardarapat-Araks road, rolled over, and ended up in a field.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, K. Shamayanyan succumbed to his injuries while being transported to the 'Armavir' medical center in the ambulance.

Quickly responding to the scene were the 1st platoon of the 1st company of the 2nd police battalion, led by battalion commander Arsen Mardoyan, deputy commander Aram Adibekyan, platoon commander Grigor Poghosyan, and squad commander Marlén Sargsyan.

A rapid response group from the Armavir police department also arrived, led by department head Gevorg Poghosyan. The traffic police's operational management center, responsible agent Samvel Tadevosyan, reported the incident to the Investigative Committee of Armenia's Armavir regional investigative department, from where an investigative group led by senior investigator Kirakosyan arrived to prepare relevant materials on the matter.

By the investigator's order, the vehicle was towed to the Armavir police department's secure area.
