We Warn the Enemy: The Armenian People Will Not Tolerate Another Capitulation - Saghateliyan

The Vice President of the National Assembly of Armenia, Ishkhan Saghateliyan, has issued a statement in which he states:

“Dear compatriots, the Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem has unleashed yet another crime against the Armenian people after violating the territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia by closing vital roads and creating a humanitarian crisis in southern Armenia.

The defeatist policy of the authorities of the Republic of Armenia, the desire to establish peace in the region, but in reality leading to a new capitulation, as well as the one-sided propaganda of peace, has brought us again to the brink of misfortune. The executive power, along with its leadership, continues to fail to understand that the establishment of regional peace implies a mutual will and desire, which is entirely absent on the Azerbaijani side.

In the context of Azerbaijan's territorial claims against the Republic of Armenia, the person who is officially supposed to defend Armenia's interests disgracefully refers to the Armenian territories of Syunik by Azerbaijani names, yielding to Aliyev's cynical demands.

Dear compatriots, as we have been insisting in recent months, our country is in danger, the crisis has not been overcome. It is a fact that the current authorities have neither the desire nor the ability to unite our society and protect our people and statehood.

The enemy is becoming more brazen day by day, trying to achieve the complete dismantling of our state's security system, the conquest of a significant part of our territory, and ethnic cleansing. In this context, the current authorities are announcing positive signals from Turkey. Essentially, this was the ruling power's perception of the expansionist actions and steps of the Turkish-Azerbaijani alliance.

Dear people, the imperative to unite and save our country and statehood from the threat of annihilation is a vital necessity. We once again warn Aliyev that the Armenian people will not tolerate and will not tolerate another capitulation, and his agreements with Nikol will remain as a reminder of their personal relationships.”
