Tbilisi Mayor Advises Estonian President Not to Interfere in His Country's Affairs
Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze has stated that the President of Estonia should focus on his own country, while the issues of Georgia should be handled by the Georgians themselves. This was reported by sputik-meedia.ee.
The mayor was responding to recent comments made by Kersti Kaljulaid, who indicated that the European Union membership for Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine is still 20 years away. According to Kaladze, his country possesses all the necessary capabilities to expedite the EU membership process.
It should be noted that during a recent visit to Kyiv, the Estonian President gave an interview to Ukrainian media, during which he stated that Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova would require at least 20 years to meet the criteria for EU membership.
