Azerbaijan Disrupts Mobile Communication and Internet Access in Artsakh: Ombudsman

The entire mobile communication and internet services in the Republic of Artsakh have been facing disruptions for an extended period. In some communities, residents are completely deprived of access to communication. This was reported by the Ombudsman of Artsakh, Gegham Stepanyan, on his Facebook page.

After receiving numerous alerts, the Ombudsman’s office conducted an investigation and received clarifications from the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Artsakh and from 'Karabakh Telecom' LLC.

'The gathered evidence indicates that access to mobile communication and the internet in Artsakh is being disrupted by Azerbaijan through interference with the frequencies and technical means utilized by service-providing companies in the telecommunications sector,' the Ombudsman states.

According to him, Azerbaijan employs any method to violate the rights of the people of Artsakh and cause inconveniences. The Ombudsman reported that all the collected evidence has been presented to the Russian peacekeepers.
