Khachatur Sukiasyan's Statements Are Absolute Lies and Defamatory: Erik Aleksanyan

Lawyer Erik Aleksanyan stated on his Facebook page: “Yesterday, the member of the ‘Civil Contract’ faction, MP Khachatur Sukiasyan, during his speech from the National Assembly podium, declared how it is that the former Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, now MP Armen Gevorgyan, who has never been involved in business, has acquired assets worth 100,000,000 USD and owns 57 units of property in the center of Yerevan.”

“I would like to inform you that the statements made by the mentioned individual are absolute lies and defamatory. Both Armen Gevorgyan and his legal team have repeatedly publicly denied this information, which does not correspond to reality. Even if the individual based his statement on the information issued by the National Security Service of Armenia months ago, I find it necessary to note that that message does not mention the existence of 100,000,000 USD in any form. Thus, it is obvious that this MP is attempting to manipulate public opinion.”

“Furthermore, the mentioned individual is simply exhibiting a typical manifestation of lie and deception that characterizes his political team. Ultimately, it is astonishing how a businessman lacks basic numerical literacy. We assure you that such statements will lead to legal consequences.”
