Alashkert Draws with Rangers

In the second leg of the UEFA Europa League playoff, Armenian champions Alashkert hosted Scotland's Rangers in Yerevan. At the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium, Rangers held the upper hand for most of the first half. Alashkert occasionally countered, but their attacks lacked seriousness. Rangers played with a significantly weakened squad.

In the 40th minute, Alashkert was left with 10 players as James was shown a second yellow card and sent off. The first 45 minutes ended without any goals being scored.

In the second half, Alashkert mainly focused on defense, making sporadic counter-attacks. Ultimately, no goals were scored in this match, and after losing the first leg by the narrowest of margins, Alashkert was eliminated from the Europa League and will compete in the group stage of the Conference League.
