Mercedes Crashes into Electric Pole on Myasnikyan Avenue

On August 25 at 02:07, the National Crisis Management Center received information about a traffic accident near the 'Bellagio' restaurant on Myasnikyan Avenue in Yerevan.

An operational group from the Ministry of Emergency Situations’ Special Rescue Operations Center and a firefighting unit from the Yerevan Rescue Department were dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that a 'Mercedes C 180' car had crashed into an electric pole near house number 5/3 on Myasnikyan Avenue. Rescuers extracted two injured individuals, identified as A. and V. N., from the vehicle and brought them to an ambulance. They were subsequently hospitalized at the 'Heratsi' hospital complex, where one of the injured was pronounced dead, and the other’s condition was assessed as extremely critical.

Rescuers disconnected the car’s battery and closed the gas tank valve.
