The Cause of the Death of Three Soldiers Revealed: What the Arrested Serviceman Told Law Enforcement

ArmLur.am has learned the reason behind the murder of three conscript soldiers at a military unit in Syunik. According to reports received, the conscript serviceman arrested on suspicion of murdering the three soldiers, A.H., has initially told law enforcement that one soldier in the unit owed him money, which led to a blow to his pride.

According to the serviceman, three conscripts present at the scene were aware of the debt and the insult to his honor. As a result, on the night of August 19, he went to a 'domik' (makeshift shelter) intending to personally kill the soldier who owed him money and had offended his honor; however, the soldier was not there, and instead, he killed the three soldiers, exiting the shelter and claiming that it had been an act of sabotage.

Judging by the situation, law enforcement is expected to arrest another individual in connection with this case. This individual is tied to the pride issue related to the debt owed by the serviceman. The media outlet cannot disclose further information regarding the criminal case due to certain details surrounding the circumstances of the murder, as well as to avoid jeopardizing the ongoing investigation at this stage.

It is worth noting that around 02:15 AM yesterday, the bodies of conscripts born in 2002, Murad Ashoti Muradyan, Levon Rafael Harutyunyan, and Gohar Artaki Sahakyan, were found at a combat outpost in the territory of military unit N located in the southeastern direction of the Republic, all having sustained gunshot wounds. The circumstances of the incident are being clarified.
