Urgent: Adversary Opens Fire on Armenian Positions, One Armenian Soldier Wounded, MoD

On August 17, starting at 14:45, the armed forces of Azerbaijan opened fire from various caliber firearms toward the Armenian positions located in the Sotk area of the Gegharkunik region along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. As a result, one soldier of the Armenian Armed Forces sustained a gunshot wound, according to the Ministry of Defense of Armenia. His life is not in danger.

As of 16:30, the shooting continued.

As a result of counter-actions conducted by the Armenian side, the adversary has suffered one dead and one wounded.
