Elon Musk Announces the Emergence of Humanoid Robot in 2022

Tesla Inc has announced the unveiling of a prototype of its Tesla Bot humanoid robot model in 2022, according to the specialized portal Teslarati and reported by Armenpress. The presentation of the innovation took place during an event dedicated to artificial intelligence held in Palo Alto, California, where the company's headquarters is located.

The robot will stand 172 centimeters tall and weigh 57 kilograms. Instead of a face, it will have a screen that will display useful information. Its arms and legs will be controlled by 40 actuators. The robot will utilize several artificial intelligence tools already implemented in the company’s vehicles. For instance, its vision will be provided by cameras designed for Tesla's self-driving cars.

Founder Elon Musk assured that the robot will also be useful in daily life. It will be capable of going to stores, fetching various items, and performing other everyday tasks. “It will be built by humans for humans. It will be friendly to its user and will help alleviate dangerous, repetitive, and boring tasks,” Musk said.

During the event, the company's employees also presented the Dojo supercomputer, which is designed for training Tesla's vehicles' autopilot systems, according to RIA Novosti.
