Armenia and Artsakh Foreign Ministers Have Conversation
On August 20, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had a phone conversation with Artsakh Foreign Minister Davit Babayan. The latter congratulated Ararat Mirzoyan on assuming the responsible position of Foreign Minister during a crucial period for Armenia and Artsakh, as reported by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Davit Babayan emphasized the importance of further developing the effective cooperation established between the foreign ministries of Armenia and Artsakh and conducting regular consultations.
Addressing the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, the foreign ministers underscored the necessity of resuming the peaceful resolution process of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship and achieving a comprehensive and lasting settlement.
The interlocutors discussed the situation created by Azerbaijani-Turkish aggression and the efforts being made to address the humanitarian crisis in Artsakh. They stressed the inadmissibility of provocative actions carried out by the Azerbaijani armed forces along the borders of Armenia and Artsakh, which pose a serious threat to regional peace and stability.
