The Liquid Gas Market Is Not Regulated: Queues in Russia, Unable to Load
According to the newspaper "Zhoghavorj", the liquid gas market in Armenia has not been regulated for two months now. A few weeks ago, the price of liquid gas sharply increased, but now it is simply unavailable. The newspaper continues to receive complaints from drivers regarding this issue. They claim that during these days they are unable to purchase liquid gas, and when they can find it, it is at a high price.
The newspaper contacted the "Gaz Propan" company to inquire why liquid gas is unavailable and when it will be available. In response to our question, the company representative stated: "Specifically, we will have one truck today (yesterday) after 8 PM, but only at our branch on Tichina street, and in a day or two at the other branches. Currently, there are large queues for liquid gas in the Russian Federation. They are unable to load the trucks, which is why there is a gas shortage. We were informed from Russia that there is no gas available, and supply is low, which has created queues."
It is worth noting that during these two months, the price of liquid gas in Armenia has risen from 200 drams to 260-270 drams. There are gas stations where it is sold at 250 drams. It will continue to be sold at high prices in our republic, as it has also increased in Russia. "Most likely, if we are purchasing at a higher price, we need to sell at a higher price," noted the representative of "Gaz Propan". For more details, see today’s edition of the newspaper.
