Health Safety Inspections Resume in Public Transport
On August 19, starting early in the morning, specialists from the Transport Safety Division of the State Urban Development, Technical and Fire Safety Inspectorate, health and labor inspectors, and police patrol units resumed joint monitoring activities regarding compliance with Covid-19 health safety regulations in public transport operating in the administrative districts of Kentron and Davtashen in Yerevan.
Inspectors and patrol officers monitored nearly 200 vehicles at bus stops, as well as through mobile inspection teams. Several violations were identified. As a result of the inspections, mandatory compliance instructions were issued in some cases, while in others, written warnings were provided. Administrative reports were also filed in response to several violations.
The oversight of public transport operations in Yerevan by the inspection bodies will be continuous. We again remind everyone that strict adherence to the established health safety regulations is essential, including mandatory mask-wearing in enclosed spaces.
