Where is the President of Afghanistan: Media Reports
The president of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani, who fled the country, is currently in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE. This was reported by Kabul News. Previously, the television channel had reported that Ghani had traveled to Oman.
After the Taliban took control of Afghanistan, several other high-ranking officials have also left the country. Notably, reports indicate the escape of Ajmal Ahmadi, the head of Afghanistan's central bank.
It is worth recalling that on August 15, the Taliban seized control of Afghanistan's capital, Kabul. In an effort to avoid bloodshed, the government surrendered power to them. Ghani has since left the country.
