Armenian Armed Forces Ready to Repel Any Provocative Actions Organized by Aliyev

The President of Azerbaijan may declare whatever he wants, but those statements have no connection to reality. This was stated by Major General Eduard Asryan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, during a press briefing with journalists, in response to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's claims regarding the Sevan Lake area in Syunik province and other territories of Armenia on August 17.

'This is a distorted narrative, information that does not serve as a basis for us. His statements increase our vigilance, and we are ready to repel any provocative actions he organizes under the umbrella of his political declarations at our positions, at our borders,' emphasized the Deputy Chief of Staff.

Eduard Asryan had participated in a closed discussion held at the National Assembly with representatives of parliamentary factions, which was dedicated to the operational-tactical situation along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
