Soldier Injured in Shooting by Azerbaijanis

On August 17, 2021, around 3:00 PM, a serviceman of the RA Ministry of Defense's military unit, stationed in the administrative territory of the Sotk community in Gegharkunik Province, sustained an injury due to gunfire from the enemy. The incident occurred at a combat position in the unit's protection area, resulting in a gunshot wound to the back surface of the upper third of the right shin of a conscript from the reconnaissance platoon of the same military unit.

A criminal case has been initiated by the fifth investigative division of the Military Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia under Articles 34-104, parts 2, 7, and 13 of the RA Criminal Code, and an investigation is underway.
