Russian Defense Ministry Reports Gunfire Incident in Shushi Region on August 16

Russian peacekeepers continue their mission in Nagorno-Karabakh. The Russian Defense Ministry reports that the peacekeepers are conducting around-the-clock monitoring at 27 observation posts and are maintaining control over the ceasefire regime.

"The ceasefire regime is generally being maintained along the entire line of contact. Meanwhile, gunfire occurred in the Shushi area on August 16, 2021, between 21:00 and 21:15. With the support of Russian peacekeepers, the incident was resolved. There were no casualties," stated the Russian Defense Ministry.
