Currently, the situation is relatively calm, the gunfire has ceased, but about an hour ago, there was intense shooting towards the Sotk gold mine. This was reported to NEWS.am by Hakob Avetyan, the head of the Geghasar community in Gegharkunik province.

“Light gunfire has already become a norm – neither the residents nor I report it; it is constant, and we only start to worry and report during heavy gunfire,” noted the mayor.

According to Avetyan, the opposing side is targeting peaceful settlements directly. “We have no human casualties, but it is possible that rooftops of houses have been damaged due to the shelling; someone from the village could be shot by the gunfire, and the opponent aims to kill and incite panic,” Avetyan stated.
