Aliyev Sees a Nation that Does Not Want to Defend Its Borders and Invites Others to Do So, Baghdasaryan

Do you know why Aliyev speaks so confidently? It’s because he sees that you are doing almost nothing at the border, wrote Edik Baghdasaryan, the editor-in-chief of the "Hetq" electronic newspaper, on his Facebook page.

“He sees your trenches and your engineering work. No matter how much you prevent journalists from going to the border and how little you respond to inquiries, the Azerbaijanis see everything; they photograph every centimeter when it is needed.

Aliyev sees a nation that does not want to defend its borders and invites others to come and do so. He is convinced that nobody will come from abroad to defend the borders of Armenia; he himself talks to these 'potential arrivals.' Therefore, we have no alternative; we are doomed to have a strong army.

Everyone, for some reason, has started talking about the future; a country that does not want to defend its borders cannot have a future. It is absurd to talk about an era of peace.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has declared an era of peace; hasn't anyone from his entourage explained to him that the one who suffers defeat cannot even beg for peace? Hasn't anyone explained to him that declaring peace does not make it happen?

Haven't they told him that after defeat, Armenia no longer decides anything, that Armenia has no leverage to impose anything on anyone? We are writing applications to international organizations, various bodies, presenting them with demands. It is a complete delusion. I do not know if there is another nation in the world that would not want to defend its borders. It is a complete delusion; genuinely, it is a delusion for the Armenian in the 21st century,” Baghdasaryan wrote.
