Wear Masks Indoors, Even if You're Vaccinated: Ministry of Health's Urging

The epidemiological situation due to coronavirus remains tense in Armenia, as well as worldwide, caused by the emergence of new COVID-19 variants, particularly the Delta variant. Vaccination prevents severe forms of the disease and mortality, reducing the spread of infection; however, it does not completely eliminate the circulation of the virus. This is reported by the Ministry of Health of Armenia.

"The requirement to wear masks indoors continues to be in effect, although wearing masks outdoors is no longer mandatory. In order to mitigate the risk of the spread of coronavirus, the Ministry of Health once again reminds and urges the public to adhere to anti-epidemic rules: wear masks indoors, even if you are vaccinated, maintain hand hygiene, regularly disinfect your hands with a 70% alcohol-based sanitizer, maintain social distance, and frequently ventilate enclosed spaces.

In case of symptoms typical of acute respiratory infections (fever, cough, runny nose), contact your local polyclinic doctor immediately; do not self-medicate and do not take antibiotics without a doctor's prescription. Follow safety rules and stay healthy," the Ministry stated in a message.
