Severe Hail and Intense Showers Expected from Such Clouds, Surenyan Releases Photo
This cloud was photographed on the evening of August 11 in the western part of Lake Sevan. The base of the cloud is approximately 3 km high, while its peak can reach altitudes of 17-18 km, with vertical strength of 14-15 km. The temperature at the top of the cloud can drop to -60 to -70 degrees Celsius. Such clouds are known to bring severe hail and heavy rainfall, often accompanied by strong winds.
