Drinking Water Issue Remains Urgent in Stepanakert

Due to the unprecedented rise in temperature, the drinking water issue continues to be urgent in Stepanakert. A working group created in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs' State Emergency Service and the "Water and Sewage" LLC is providing water to residents of Stepanakert around the clock.

The service has mobilized all its resources to ensure a specific schedule for water supply. Fire trucks are patrolling the streets to deliver potable water to the population. Rescuers are also assisting elderly individuals and those with disabilities.

Currently, about 30 percent of the capital is facing water issues. By order of Minister of Internal Affairs Karen Sargsyan, water supply will continue until the drinking water problem is completely resolved. Water distribution continued from morning until late at night yesterday and resumed early in the morning today. The operations were monitored by the head of the State Emergency Service, Mekhak Arzumanyan.
