Armenia Will Assist Greece if Necessary
The Press Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Vahan Hunanian, addressed the question of whether the Armenian government is prepared to provide assistance to Greece in overcoming the situation created by forest fires in the country.
We present the question from Armenpress and the response of the Press Secretary of the MFA:
Question: As is known, recent forest fires have broken out in Greece, causing significant damage to the country. Is the Armenian government planning to assist Greece?
Response: We are deeply concerned about the situation caused by the forest fires in our friendly Greece and express our solidarity with the fraternal Greek people during these difficult times. I would like to note that we have established contact with our Greek counterparts and offered assistance. Greece has expressed its gratitude to Armenia for the offered help and willingness to assist, while also informing us that, considering that the situation regarding the fires has transitioned from a crisis to a relatively milder phase, there is currently no need for additional assistance. Of course, we will continue to closely monitor the situation and will immediately provide support to the fraternal Greek people if necessary.
