Armenia Offers Assistance to Greece, No Additional Support Needed

Armenia has offered assistance to Greece to help overcome the situation created by forest fires in the country, said Vahan Hunanyan, the spokesperson for Armenia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"We are deeply concerned about the situation caused by the forest fires in our friendly neighbor Greece and express our solidarity with the Greek people during these difficult times. I would like to note that we have contacted our Greek counterparts and offered assistance. Greece has expressed its gratitude to Armenia for the proposed help and readiness, while informing us that considering the fact that the situation related to the fires has passed from a crisis phase to a relatively milder one, there is currently no need for additional support," Hunanyan told Armenpress.

"Of course, we will continue to monitor the situation closely and will provide immediate assistance to our brotherly Greek people if necessary," he added.
