The Price of Milk is Horribly Cheap: I Will Bring a Bill to Increase Milk Prices - Narek Grigoryan
The farmer is left all alone. Days ago, MP Narek Grigoryan from the Civil Contract faction announced this during his speech in the National Assembly. Clarifying his statement in a conversation with Factor.am, Grigoryan noted that he meant the fact that the farmer is left alone—without the National Assembly, without new laws being adopted that would ease the burdens on farmers.
"For example, the price of milk is horrendously cheap. I am trying to find solutions for a legislative proposal that would increase the price of milk purchased from farmers, prevent the slaughter of livestock, and ensure that there will not be a milk deficit tomorrow or the day after," Grigoryan stated. "I interact with the people daily; everyone knows that I live in the village, and I go back and forth every day."
Addressing the observation that Armenian pastures have come under Azerbaijani control, the MP stated that the grass shortage is not due to that fact, but because this year has been dry, resulting in a significant increase in the price of hay. "We need to develop legislative proposals to address these issues," Grigoryan concluded.
