Russia Confirms: Azerbaijan Used Drones Against Armenian Positions in Artsakh
The Russian Ministry of Defense has confirmed a report previously issued by the Defense Army of Artsakh regarding the use of attack drones by the Azerbaijani armed forces against Armenian positions.
This information was received by Armenpress from the Russian Ministry of Defense website. The report notes that the Russian peacekeeping forces continue to carry out their mission in Nagorno-Karabakh.
“In recent days, there has been one violation of the ceasefire regime. On August 11, 2021, at 7:29 AM and 7:58 AM, the Azerbaijani armed forces carried out two strikes on the positions of the armed formations in Nagorno-Karabakh using attack drones. The command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent has taken measures to prevent further escalation of the situation. An investigation is underway,” the Russian Ministry of Defense stated.
Earlier, the Defense Army of Artsakh reported that on August 11, the adversary used attack drones targeting the positions of the Defense Army. The Armenian side did not suffer any losses.
