Roof of Zvartnots Memorial Complex Damaged by Strong Winds

On August 11, the roof of the "Zvartnots" cultural heritage memorial complex was damaged due to strong winds. The press service of the State Service for the Protection of Historical Environment and Cultural Heritage reports that the wind completely ripped off the roof.

Additionally, the glass-covered area of the entrance hall was also damaged. Accompanied by the Director of the State Service Ara Tarverdyan, employees from the Ministry of Emergency Situations inspected the site on August 12. After necessary discussions with specialists, the damage will be addressed in the shortest possible time, and the roof of the memorial complex will be repaired.

The management of the protection service requests the visitors’ understanding and informs that the museum will be closed for the next few days. Visitors can only tour the grounds of the monument.
