Operation of Public Catering Facility Suspended
Inspectors from the Ministry of Health's Food Safety Inspectorate in the Armavir region have detected gross violations of sanitary and hygienic standards at a public catering facility owned by individual entrepreneur Hovhannes Mkrtumyan during an inspection conducted in the village of Tairuv.
In particular, the kitchen's floor, walls, and ceiling did not have a flat, easily cleanable, and disinfectable surface, leading to the accumulation of dirt and the growth of mold. The kitchen furniture, including tables, chairs, closed-lid trash bins, pots, and shelves, is worn out and cannot be properly cleaned and disinfected, thus requiring replacement.
Additionally, no measures have been taken to prevent the entry of animals into the areas for food preparation, processing, storage, and transportation, nor to combat pests. Furthermore, the employees involved in this organization’s food chain have not undergone mandatory initial and periodic medical examinations.
The operation of the public catering facility has been suspended, and a deadline has been set for rectifying the violations.
