You Didn't Come to Yerevan in a Lava Tank: Arpi Davoyan to Vahe Hakobyan

Member of Parliament Arpi Davoyan posed a question to Vahe Hakobyan, a member of the 'Armenia' faction, whose opposition group has nominated him for the position of the Chairman of the Permanent Committee on Economic Issues.

She continued the question raised earlier by her colleague Andranik Kocharyan, expressing confusion about how it came to be and under what agreement Hakobyan traveled on a Defense Army helicopter.

“For me, the use of a Defense Army helicopter for personal purposes is completely unacceptable. I assumed that at least you would have donated a helicopter to the Defense Army, rather than used it. You didn't come to Yerevan in a lava tank,” Davoyan said.

In response to the question from the ruling party MP, Hakobyan stated that it was not a Defense Army helicopter, but rather one belonging to the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.

“We had an agreement with the mentioned ministry. For the rest of the questions, you can contact the ministry; they may consider it necessary to respond to you. As for donations, we must at least have what to donate,” Hakobyan replied.
