Red Book Registered Flower on Sale Near Water Lilies Lake

The Ministry of Environment has received another alert regarding the sale of a flower listed in the Red Book, near the Water Lilies Lake, located 1.2 km northeast of the village of Urasar in the Lori region. The price for one flower has been set at 500 AMD.

Dear citizens, we urge you to treat this exceptional beauty of nature with the utmost care and responsibility, especially since it is registered in the Republic of Armenia's Red Book and is governed by Armenian legislation.

According to Article 93 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Republic of Armenia, the unauthorized collection of plants registered in the Republic of Armenia's Red Book, or the roots, flowers, and fruits of such plants, results in fines for citizens amounting to 80 times the minimum wage (80,000 AMD), while for officials, the fine is 150 times the minimum wage (150,000 AMD).
