Discussions Formed Around Kocharyan Have Turned into Everyday Matters: Ohanyan
For already the second week, the process of electing the leadership of the National Assembly is underway, and two of our colleagues are in captivity, their fundamental rights have been violated, and as inviolable parliamentarians, they have been unable to fulfill their parliamentary duties. This was stated by Seyran Ohanyan, the head of the "Armenia" faction, in a conversation with reporters.
He emphasized Vahe Hakobyan's candidacy for the position of the permanent committee on economic issues of the National Assembly, particularly from the perspective that Armenia needs to implement a new economic policy.
“According to Article 11 of our Constitution, the foundation of our economic life is a social-market economy based on private ownership, free competitive economic activity, and the economic policies pursued by the state aimed at economic prosperity and social justice. In this context, we greatly value Vahe Hakobyan's work,” noted Ohanyan.
Regarding the National Assembly’s defense and security committee, Ohanyan mentioned that the general discussions formed around the presidential candidate Andranik Kocharyan have turned into everyday discussions because he is, by nature, that way.
