On August 9, Gegham Manukyan, a member of the "Hayastan" faction, addressed the male MPs of the "Civil Contract" faction from the podium of the National Assembly.

Brother, I went to the front, beat everyone, lived well for two years, I lived full, even though everyone knew that I had been beaten, that I had gone hungry, but it was a matter of manly dignity, I came home and said that I had fought, I lived well and full. People, fellow MPs, I ask you, please don’t complain about food anymore. Go to Seyran Ohanyan, tell him 100 facts to his face, but do not say it in front of the entire Armenian nation. You are saying it like you’re being treated unfairly; I ask you if you know how much it costs until today for taxis going to the military units in Shamshadin to take the supplies. It’s normal; it was normal then, and it’s normal now,” Gegham Manukyan stated.
