State Revenue Committee Urges to Refrain from Illegal Import Attempts of Turkish-Origin Goods

The State Revenue Committee reports that there have been increasing attempts to circumvent the temporary ban on the import of Turkish-origin goods, established by the Government of Armenia’s decision No. 1048-N dated June 24, 2021, by concealing their origin through the removal of labels or other illegal actions.

The Committee urges all citizens and businesses not to waste time and resources on efforts to disguise the Turkish origin of these goods, as actions will be taken by the Committee at the customs border to clarify their true origin if it is unknown.

Moreover, until the end of the action, these goods and transport vehicles will not be allowed entry, which will lead to downtime and additional financial costs. In cases of even suspected Turkish origin, entry into the territory of Armenia will be prohibited, and they will be immediately removed from the country.

The State Revenue Committee once again assures that it maintains a strict policy regarding the importation of Turkish goods and continues to exercise consistent monitoring, excluding their entry into the republic within its jurisdiction.
