Personnel Changes in the Armenian Armed Forces
By the suggestion of the Prime Minister and the decree of President Armen Sarkissian, Arayik Harutyunyan has been appointed as the Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia and Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, being relieved from his position as the Commander of the 2nd Army Corps.
“Based on the Prime Minister's suggestion, in accordance with the first part of Article 133 of the Constitution, as well as Article 35.1, part 1 and Article 36, part 1, point 1 of the Law on 'Military Service and the Status of Military Personnel’: Arayik HARUTYUNYAN is appointed as the Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia and Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, being relieved from the position of Commander of the 2nd Army Corps,” the presidential decree states.
