‘Always damp tents and expired canned food, where are your military reforms and clubs?’ - Armen Gevorgyan
Bloger and editor Aram Gevorgyan wrote on his Facebook page:
“This is the army kept by Nikol in the positions of Syunik. In the first photo is the canned food that will be given to the soldiers on duty these days, which was produced in 2018. The tent reads MoD 07.09.2018. This means that the expiration date passes on September 7 of this year.
In the second photo, you can see the tent of the same soldiers, covered with a bag to keep them as dry as possible during the rain. And in that tent, 1.5 times more people need to fit than usual…
Nikol, would you give your pampered kids food with an expiration date coming up in a month? Of course, you wouldn’t. So why are you serving food for disposal to the soldiers ensuring the safety of your pampered ones? Why didn't you invest in clubs and better provisions for the army? One of your sergeant idiots would say that we shouldn’t skimp on food for the soldiers; they should eat the best. Is this what you think is ‘the best’?
Arshak Karapetyan, however you may call yourself ‘Mr. Minister’, how many hours are you ready to replace the damp tent of these positions in Syunik with the soft bed in a three-story house located at 39 Sevkarets Sako? None, right? So, your ministry has been appointed poorly, and can’t you see the conditions in which our soldiers are holding their ground? If you can’t see it, here, I’m showing it to you; you should know. Although you probably already know very well.
Are you really this unpatriotic and incompetent? Tons of aid have arrived from abroad, thousands of tents and millions of dollars. So where are they? Why are the soldiers eating canned food produced during Serj’s time and sleeping in constantly damp tents? Where are your military reforms and clubs?”
