Brief Rain and Thunderstorms to Replace Sunny Days: Weather in Armenia

The Ararat Plain and its foothills, the foothills of Vayots Dzor, the valley regions of Syunik, and Yerevan are experiencing and expecting a high fire hazard situation. This was reported by the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center.

In Yerevan, on August 5th, after noon on the 9th and during the evening hours of the 7th, brief rain and thunderstorms are expected in some areas, with possible wind gusts of 18-20 m/s during the thunderstorms. On August 6th, 8th, and 10th, dry weather is anticipated.

Throughout the republic, on August 5th during the day, and after noon on the 7th to 10th, rain and thunderstorms are expected in some regions, and hail is also possible in isolated areas. Dry weather is expected on August 6th.

The wind will be from the southwest at 5-10 m/s, with gusts of 15-20 m/s during thunderstorms. The air temperature will rise by 1-2 degrees during the day on August 5th.
