Armenia and Georgia Consider Launching High-Speed Train Between Yerevan and Tbilisi

Armenia and Georgia are exploring the possibility of launching a high-speed train service between Yerevan and Tbilisi, which would reduce travel time to approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. This information was reported by Aliq.ge.

The decision was made following a meeting between the Ministers of Economy of both countries. Both parties believe that this initiative will promote the development of tourism.

The Armenian side also proposed discussing the implementation of several other joint projects in the fields of tourism and energy to enhance regional attractiveness.

It should be noted that since June 15, a new train service between Yerevan, Tbilisi, and Batumi has also been operational. Tickets can be purchased from ticket offices at the railway stations in Tbilisi, Batumi, Yerevan, Vanadzor, Gyumri, and Armavir, as well as online through the official website of the South Caucasus Railway.
