Man Who Self-Immolated Near Ombudsman Office in Serious Condition

The condition of a man who self-immolated in front of the Human Rights Defender's office today, July 30, is serious, and he is receiving appropriate medical treatment. This was stated in a conversation with NEWS.am by the National Burn Center, adding that the patient is in the intensive care unit.

Earlier, it was reported that around 12:30 PM, a team of emergency medical services transferred a citizen with various degrees of burns to the Burn Center from in front of the Human Rights Defender's office. The reason for the self-immolation in front of the office is being investigated. Authorities are preparing materials related to the incident at the police department. The police are working to identify the individual involved.
