Video: Thefts from Anti-Hail Stations
A young man from Ejmiadzin likely did not have a specific intention to endanger the crops of the residents of Voskehaten village in the Aragatsotn province. This incident is perhaps one of those cases where a theft committed for a meager profit can lead to numerous damages.
Detectives from Ashtarak received operational information that was executed on July 26. They apprehended a 27-year-old man from his residence on Vazgen Sargsyan Street in Ejmiadzin.
He confessed that in March, he attempted to steal a battery from an anti-hail station located in the administrative territory of Voskehaten. He had managed to open the door but did not complete the crime and fled the scene.
The young man did not let his initial failure discourage him. Not realizing the social danger of his actions, he repeated the attempt a few days later and this time succeeded. He also subjected another anti-hail station in the same community to the same fate by removing and taking a battery.
Efforts are being made to recover the stolen items. The circumstances are being clarified.
Note: A suspect in a presumed crime is considered innocent until proven guilty according to the procedure established by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia, by a court's legally binding judgment.
